F1 grand Prix - Japan
Good old Jenson does it again, he will win the Championship next year.
This image was taken in Bakewell not far from where I live, nearly all the buildings are of the Olde English Style built in stone from a nearby quary. The town is world famous for the "Bakewell Pudding" which consists of a puff pastry shell with a layer of jam, covered with a filling of eggs (no shell required), sugar, butter and almond flavoured icing. There is also a " Bakewell Tart" which is baked by much bigger bakeries which consists of a shortcrust pastry shell, spread with jam and covered with a sponge-like filling enriched with ground almonds (known as frangipane), they may also be covered with nuts such as almonds and peanuts. These should not be mistaken with the current "Bakewell Pudding" which is still baked only in Bakwell.
This is taken from a place called "Curbar Rocks" the view looks out over Chatsworth House and Baslow.
This takes me back, it is one of the trucks I used to drive when I work for a heavy haulage company just outside Derby. Most of the work was moving heavy machinary about similar to the fermentation tank in the pic, we also moved heavy locomotives by road from one depot to another, it was a great life.

This was a nice motor, it was 8 months old when I bought it and all the years I ran it I had no big problems.
It was 10 years old when the picture was taken.

This is the HGV I used to drive in my younger days.
It was one of the quickest HGV's on the road at that time over here, you could just manage to top 72 mph on the flat using the 12 speed splitter gearbox.jjRemember, remember the 5th of November
Gunpowder Treason and Plot
Guy Fawkes Night, also known as Bonfire Night, is an annual celebration, primarily in Great Britain, traditionally and usually held on the evening of 5 November. Festivities are centred on the use of fireworks and the lighting of bonfires. It is also celebrated in former British Colonies such as Australia and New Zealand.
Historically, the celebrations mark the anniversary of the failed Gunpowder Plot of 5 November 1605 when Guy Fawkes was arrested while looking after the gunpowder under the House of Lords in London.
